Jeneva Ben graduated as a Shiprock Chieftain and studied at New Mexico State University for Agronomy. Due to the Gold King Mine spill disaster after-effects on the farmers & ranchers of the Navajo Nation and the COVID-19 pandemic, the demand for food increased drastically. Jeneva came back home to the farm and farmed indigenous food for the Navajo Nation throughout the pandemic with her family and community support.

Her experience living through the Gold King Disaster and Pandemic as a farmer and rancher revealed the limited help given to the Navajo People during these times, but food produced on her field reseeded hope of contingency plans for our water, land, and human rights. This encouraged the Ben Sisters to create a farm that rebuilds hope and love for our farmers and ranchers in the Navajo Nation.
